Data Engineer | Snowflake, Databricks, Python | Remote (m/f/n)

SHIMI Sp. z o.o. is delivering an international project for a leading US-based client, focused on modern data technologies and large-scale datasets.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar.
• Languages: Polish B1/B2 and English C1.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience integrating data from ERP systems, SharePoint, APIs, fund administration platforms, and flat files.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and data quality management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Experience with BI tools such as Sigma or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of data anonymization, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with AI-enabled environments and data pipelines supporting AI workflows.
• Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

• Collaborate with client data owners to analyze source systems including ERP platforms, SharePoint, fund administration systems, APIs, and flat files.
• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion, integration, and transformation pipelines.
• Build scalable and reliable data models to support business analysis.
• Implement reconciliation, validation, and data quality controls.
• Deliver dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and review their work.
• Drive decisions related to data architecture, tooling, and implementation.
• Promote reusable integration and validation patterns.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance best practices throughout the project.

Candidate must work from Poland due to project requirements and fully remote work arrangement. Only candidates with immediate or short-term availability will be considered due to urgent project timeline.
