Senior MS SQL Server Database Developer

Altimi is a technology acceleration partner with over 20 years of experience specializing in software development projects for international customers, primarily operating in the DACH region and Scandinavia. Their main competencies include Product & Application Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Security & Managed Services, and AI & Data Enablement.

• At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server database development
• Documented experience independently leading development/implementation projects for large database systems
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, performance optimization, and database architecture design
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory) is a plus
• Familiarity with modern data integration tools (SSIS, Power BI) is a plus
• Proven track record of at least 3 completed projects within the last 3 years involving MS SQL Server database development
• Experience with at least 2 completed projects focused on maintenance and upkeep of MS SQL Server database systems
• Experience with at least 1 completed larger-scale project involving development and/or new build of an MS SQL Server database system
• Advanced English proficiency

Nice to have:

• German language skills — candidates with at least a B1 level can qualify for a higher rate

• Design and implement advanced database structures and architecture for MS SQL Server
• Develop and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
• Lead development work on building new database systems from the ground up
• Analyze performance and tune queries at scale
• Provide technical guidance to junior/mid-level team members and conduct code reviews
• Collaborate with architects and business teams on solution design
• Ensure the quality, security, and compliance of implemented solutions with client standards
