Senior Business Analyst (Data & Analytics)

DataArt is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the evolution of their data and analytics platforms, working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, and product teams.

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within data-intensive environments.
• Financial Services industry experience.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Solid understanding of data flows through an organisation; able to read data models, dictionaries, and lineage diagrams.
• Comfortable writing basic-to-intermediate SQL independently.
• Familiarity with DWH concepts and modern data platforms (such as Snowflake, Databricks).
• Understanding of data governance fundamentals, including ownership, stewardship, data quality rules, lineage, and PII/access considerations.
• Experience in defining reporting requirements and bridging business users and BI developers.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Jira backlog management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Asset Management domain experience.
• Experience working with enterprise reporting and BI solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems and analytics architectures.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate, and document business and data requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional, operational, reporting, and data requirements.
• Create clear and structured requirements documentation, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze and validate data using SQL and relational databases to support requirement discovery, data quality investigations, and solution validation.
• Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and product teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
• Review, create, prioritize, and manage Jira backlog items, user stories, and enhancement requests.
• Understand and document data flows across systems, including source systems, transformations, warehouses, and reporting layers.
