Senior Engineer

DCV Technologies is hiring a Senior Engineer for their Web app team, focusing on full stack development with significant work on React based front-end and Python API back-end within a service oriented architecture. The role involves contributing to a stable project in the banking sector with international exposure and working with global engineering teams.

• Proven experience leading Full Stack development or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript including ES6+ syntax.
• Extensive experience developing front-end applications with React, preferably with the Remix framework.
• Strong proficiency in Python for RESTful API development.
• Knowledge of database systems, including MongoDB and SQL.
• Experience with the Azure cloud platform, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code with test-driven development using Vitest and Pytest.
• Exposure to functional testing with Playwright.
• Comprehensive understanding of modern DevSecOps technologies, including GitHub version control, CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions, and container deployment to Kubernetes using GitOps via ArgoCD.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

• Azure Developer certification, specifically AZ-204.
• Exposure to Databricks.
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Oversee and manage complex software engineering tasks within the Web team, from conception to completion.
• Architect and develop Python RESTful APIs and React/Remix based websites, promoting re-usable integrations and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for the NBA Control Tower Portal.
• Develop and enforce engineering best practices and standards with a DevOps first mindset.
• Identify non-functional requirements such as accessibility, performance, and security, guiding team members in best practices.
• Liaise with product owners to translate ideas into innovative technical solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project alignment and quality.
