Senior QA Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is recruiting for a Senior QA Engineer to work full-time for a digital marketing company focused on email marketing, social media marketing, event marketing, and online survey tools to enhance customer relationships. The role involves working with innovative tools and APIs to support internal teams such as finance, sales, marketing, and customer support, collaborating with engineering teams, product owners, and UX designers. The position emphasizes backend testing, focusing on manual and automated API testing particularly with REST Assured, core Java, Jenkins, and Postman.

• Experience with the REST Assured framework.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in test automation and development roles.
• Strong knowledge of Java and testing tools such as Selenium, Protractor, and Cypress.
• Understanding of debugging test code.
• Experience with Postman for manual testing.
• Expertise in unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
• Comfortable with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of Amazon AWS cloud services.
• Exposure to Git in a CI/CD environment.
• Experience with QE methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience using AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Bugbot as primary development workflow tools.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have:

• Experience with JavaScript.
• Experience with React.

• Drive testing and release processes ensuring manual and automated tests are performed in QA, Staging, and Production environments.
• Work within a Services Oriented Architecture.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
• Participate in unit, integration, functional, and performance testing.
• Develop basic automated testing products.
• Write clear and effective test plans following accepted testing standards.
• Actively participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
• Lead team members in testing to deliver high-quality software products.
• Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects at an advanced level.
• Mentor other QA engineers to improve software quality and team capabilities.
• Stay current with advancements in web technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes and documentation.
• Drive product quality using continuous integration, continuous delivery, BDD, and TDD.
