Agentic AI Engineer

Altimetrik Poland is a digital enablement company delivering agile outcomes to enterprises and startups to help scale and accelerate their businesses. The role is for a global healthcare client providing solutions to evolving patient needs worldwide. The position focuses on developing agentic AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, tool calling, orchestration frameworks, and cloud AI services.

• 4+ years in AI engineering, software engineering, data engineering, ML engineering, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI applications, AI agents, RAG-based solutions, enterprise search, copilots, or LLM-powered workflow automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including APIs, backend services, automation, and reusable AI components.
• Deep understanding of LLMs: prompt engineering, context engineering, model selection, embeddings, latency, and cost trade-offs.
• Practical experience with RAG architecture: vector DBs, embedding models, retrieval strategies, document processing.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration patterns and tool-calling capabilities for databases, APIs, external services.
• Knowledge of agent memory designs and evaluation frameworks for accuracy and hallucination detection.
• Understanding of responsible AI, model governance, security controls, auditability.
• Experience with observability and tracing for agentic systems.
• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen.
• Experience with cloud-native AI platforms: AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Agent Service.
• Understanding of enterprise data concepts, REST APIs, microservices, authentication, secrets management, logging.
• Knowledge of security and responsible AI principles including role-based access, data privacy, prompt injection risks.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with architects, platform engineers, product owners, and business SMEs.

• Develop agentic solutions combining LLMs, RAG, tool calling, orchestration frameworks, and cloud AI services.
• Build APIs, backend services, automation scripts, and reusable AI components in Python.
• Implement multi-agent orchestration patterns like supervisor-agent, planner-executor workflows, and human-in-the-loop flows.
• Design agent memory structures including session, long-term, vector-based memory.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for LLMs and agents covering accuracy, grounding validation, hallucination detection.
• Implement guardrails with policy controls, approval gates, fallback flows, escalation paths, and kill-switch mechanisms.
• Ensure observability and tracing of agentic systems including execution traces, tool-call monitoring, and debugging.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate use cases into AI agent capabilities.

Nice to have:

• Use agent observability tools like LangSmith, Arize Phoenix, OpenTelemetry, or MLflow.
• Design human-in-the-loop AI systems with approval workflows and exception management.
• Experience in AI governance, model risk management, prompt governance, and audit-ready documentation.
• Develop tool registries, plugin architectures, OpenAPI-based integrations, and reusable agent capabilities.
• Design advanced multi-agent topologies including supervisor, planner-executor, critic/evaluator, router agents.
• Use schema-driven API invocation and validation layers with OpenAPI, JSON Schema, function calling.
