Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Engineering:

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building production-grade applications.
• Ability to work across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable software solutions.

AI Engineering:

• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications or features.
• Experience working with modern AI models and APIs.
• Understanding of AI agents, LLM integrations, prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool/function calling, streaming responses, AI evaluation and reliability concepts.

Customer & Consulting Mindset:

• Comfortable working directly with customers and embedded engineering teams.
• Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments.

Communication:

• Excellent English communication skills (C1 or higher).
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional and international teams.

Availability:

• Full-time availability required.
• Ability to work with at least 80% overlap with New York (Eastern Time) business hours, typically starting workday around 1:00–2:00 PM Polish time.

Nice to have:

• Experience in consulting, solutions engineering, or forward deployed engineering.
• Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered applications.
• Familiarity with AI observability, monitoring, evaluation, tracing, or guardrails.
• Experience working with enterprise customers.
• Startup or early-stage product experience.

Build AI-powered solutions:

• Work directly with enterprise customers to design and deliver AI-powered solutions.
• Build custom integrations, dashboards, workflows, and user experiences.
• Connect customer applications with AI platforms, telemetry systems, and supporting services.
• Deliver production-ready solutions that solve real business problems.

Partner with customers:

• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout customer engagements.
• Participate in technical workshops, architecture discussions, and discovery sessions.
• Help customers make informed technical decisions and adopt AI engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, security teams, and business stakeholders.

Shape product evolution:

• Identify recurring customer needs and implementation patterns.
• Share feedback and technical insights with product and engineering teams.
• Help transform customer-specific solutions into reusable platform capabilities.
• Influence the future direction of AI products through hands-on customer work.

Build with modern AI technologies:

• Develop AI-powered applications and workflows.
• Work with LLMs, AI agents, evaluations, monitoring, and integrations.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as a natural part of your daily workflow.
• Continuously explore emerging AI engineering practices and technologies.

This role requires full-time availability with at least 80% overlap with New York (Eastern Time) business hours, typically starting workday around 1:00–2:00 PM Polish time to ensure close collaboration with the US-based customer team.
