Product Manager - Search

Allegro is hiring a Product Manager to lead the vision and execution for their main search engine, a critical product generating revenue 24/7 with a focus on reliability and innovation. The role involves collaboration with engineering teams to create a future search experience, maintaining a 100% SLA, and impacts core platform functions like listings and recommendation systems. The position is based in Warsaw or Poznan, Poland.

• Highly autonomous approach and true ownership of product and team.
• Ability to independently acquire, query, and analyze data to drive product decisions.
• Background or strong interest in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Proven experience in Product Management within scalable, technical, or algorithmic environments.
• Strong understanding of search engine architecture, optimization algorithms, and Artificial Intelligence solutions.
• Experience in strategic roadmap planning for short-term and long-term delivery.
• Problem-solving skills distinguishing between problem and solution spaces.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to defend decisions with data and explain technical concepts.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.

Product Vision and Strategy (Search):

• Set direction for organic search results and articulate business value of new AI tools and optimization algorithms.

Core Search, Relevance, and Query Understanding:

• Collaborate closely with technical teams to impact architecture, stability, search relevance, and user intent understanding.

Stakeholder Management Under Pressure:

• Work daily across engineering, marketing, and recommendations teams to manage expectations and balance priorities.

Customer Insights & Roadmap Planning:

• Translate internal and external user needs into technical requirements and prioritize backlog to ensure continuous 24/7 platform growth.

Cross-functional Integration & KPIs:

• Define success metrics for the search engine, track performance, drive optimization, and secure smooth launches with technical leaders.
