QA / Test Engineer

Merit is a holding company that acquires, manages, and builds software businesses in niche verticals over a very long period of time. They take an AI-first approach to modernizing and expanding their portfolio, supporting both investment operations and portfolio companies with an internal technology group. The engineering team operates both internally and as a forward-deployed team across the portfolio, tackling high-impact projects where value can be delivered.

• Experience with browser automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools like Claude, Copilot, or LLM-driven tooling
• Skilled in functional, exploratory, and manual testing
• Proficient in Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience with API and integration testing
• Ability to work effectively with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Test strategy and QA process design experience
• English language proficiency at B1 level and Polish language proficiency

Nice to have:

• Experience with .NET
• Performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust
• Experience across modern and legacy technology stacks

• Verify that features and fixes work as intended across multiple products and stacks
• Perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing where automation is insufficient
• Use AI tools (e.g., Claude) to drive browser automation with Playwright and similar tools
• Convert manual test flows into AI-assisted automated verification to save time
• Decide what is worth automating to maximize confidence in product correctness
• Report clearly on release behavior and associated risks
• Work across varied technology stacks including Python, .NET, and TypeScript
