Data Analyst, Product

Kraken, founded in 2011, is one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, used by over 10 million individuals and institutions globally, offering spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services for both individual investors and institutions.

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering, preferably in fintech, payments, financial markets or crypto with a focus on data quality and scale.
• Hands-on experience with advanced trading products and financial market solutions or professional trading background.
• Proven experience building and managing production data pipelines, familiar with dbt and Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools.
• Mastery of SQL including complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions.
• Strong proficiency in Python for pipeline development and data analysis.
• Experience designing and running A/B tests and experimentation frameworks, applying causal inference techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional data initiatives with measurable business impact.
• Excellent communication skills simplifying complex data for diverse audiences.
• Degree in software engineering, economics, or a hard science.
• Based in Canada, the US, the UK, or EU, fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with LLM-augmented analytics pipelines or AI-assisted workflows in production environments.

• Operate as a full-stack data analyst within the Pro team, owning the domain and collaborating with the pod.
• Design and evolve dashboards, north star metrics, and analytical frameworks driving high-level business decisions.
• Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure, including dbt models and production pipelines for full-funnel reporting.
• Lead product experimentation by designing A/B testing frameworks, applying causal inference, and translating results into product strategy recommendations.
• Influence technical direction in the data team focusing on data quality and engineering standards.
• Embed AI tooling into workflows, including LLM-augmented pipelines and GenAI-assisted analytics.
• Deliver data-driven storytelling and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences including senior leadership.
