Senior AI Enablement Engineer

Fundraise Up is a global fundraising platform serving nonprofits worldwide, including UNICEF and the Alzheimer’s Association. The platform includes a complex ecosystem with a modern checkout experience, customizable widgets (SPAs), donor, organization, and partner portals, admin tools, and internal apps. The backend uses Node.js (Koa, NestJS) and MongoDB, frontend stacks include Webpack, Vue.js, and React, mostly written in TypeScript. Messaging and processing use Kafka and Bull (Redis). Analytics data is stored in ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch is used for search.

• Senior, hands-on engineer with 7+ years shipping in product-driven environments.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for building services and integrations, with knowledge of relational and document databases.
• Deep fluency with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot/Codex) and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience independently taking internal integrations from prototype to production, including design, authentication/authorization, deployment, security reviews, and CI/CD.
• Experience building integrations with third-party APIs and agent-tooling protocols (e.g., MCP).
• Working knowledge of GenAI components: LLMs, prompting, RAG, orchestration, agentic flows, and AI/tooling security.
• Strong teaching, facilitation, and technical writing skills for guiding engineers.
• Cross-functional collaboration skills to coordinate with IT, DevOps, security, and GTM.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems autonomously and drive to completion.
• English proficiency at C1 level for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with observability tools and stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Experience with edge or serverless compute platforms (Workers, Durable Objects, KV).
• Experience managing internal plugin/package registries or marketplaces.
• Background in developer experience, advocacy, or internal tooling roles.
• Instructional design or learning science experience.
• Experience running workshops, hackathons, or enablement programs at scale.
• Experience in a distributed, remote-first engineering organization.

• Enablement & coaching: work directly with engineers through 1:1s, pair programming, workshops, office hours, and cohorts to improve effectiveness with AI-assisted development.
• Best-practice propagation: capture effective practices and share them through guides, prompt libraries, playbooks, and a knowledge base.
• Scale through champions: support a network of embedded AI champions to scale enablement efforts.
• Unblocking & feedback loop: identify and escalate systemic issues and blockers related to AI tooling.
• Internal integrations & tooling: develop internal AI integrations and reusable tools independently using Node.js and TypeScript, including auth, access control, security reviews, and CI/CD.
• Evaluation & scouting: perform evaluations of AI tools, models, and integrations, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Measurement & impact: define and track adoption and productivity metrics with dashboards, ensuring quality guardrails.
• Cross-functional partnering: collaborate with security/compliance and GTM teams to ensure safe-by-design practices and translate field needs into internal enablement.
