Software Development Engineer II

Remitly Poland sp. z o.o. is hiring for the Marketing AI Team based in Kraków, focusing on enabling AI transformation for the marketing organization by building foundational products and tools.

• At least 5 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language, preferably Go.
• Hands-on experience with data querying, wrangling, and interpretation.
• Fluency and practical experience with AI and large language models (LLMs), with a skeptical approach.
• Ability to work independently and good judgment on when to involve others.
• Serious passion for security and proactive consideration of safety.

Nice to have:

• Experience or interest in Rust or Zig.
• Experience with Java.

• Own problems end to end, from understanding partner needs to shipping and maintaining production systems.
• Make autonomous architecture, tradeoff, and priority decisions, defending them with data.
• Collaborate directly with business teams to translate vague requests into concrete products.
• Use AI tooling effectively while critically evaluating its outputs.
• Dive into data by querying, analyzing, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.
• Grow into a dependable engineer that teams prefer to have on their projects.

This position requires working in a hybrid model with an expectation to be in the office at least 50% of the time, calculated monthly.
