Senior QA Automation Specialist - KRAKÓW

Xebia sp. z o.o. is hiring for a Senior QA Automation Specialist role based in Kraków, Poland, working on test automation frameworks and quality assurance for web, mobile, and API applications.

• 6+ years of experience in Functional Requirement Gathering.
• 6+ years of experience in Selenium Test Automation using BDD principles.
• 4 years of hands-on experience with Cucumber.
• 4 years of experience in API Test Automation using karate and/or rest assured.
• 2 years of experience with GIT.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience with build tools such as maven or Gradle.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Experience with Postman.
• Experience in database testing, including SQL queries and data validation.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity.

Nice to have:

• Experience applying GenAI in a structured way within the SDLC, including workflows and tool integrations.
• Interest in AI-driven practices like agent-based workflows, automation patterns, and AI-augmented development.

• Designing, building, and maintaining robust automated test suites for web and mobile applications using Selenium and BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
• Developing and scaling test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API services.
• Performing API testing and automation using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Enhancing and extending API/Web Service automation frameworks.
• Writing and managing clear test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Executing manual and automated test cases; reporting, tracking, and managing defects using Jira.
• Estimating, prioritizing, and planning testing activities within agile delivery teams.
• Performing functional and integration testing of complex systems.
• Integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines with Git, Gradle/Maven, and Jenkins.
• Participating in sprint ceremonies, product demos, and release reviews.
• Acting as the quality champion in your squad.
