ETL Tester

The role is within Capgemini's Financial Services team contributing to a large data transformation program in the Nordic banking sector.

• 6+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in ETL, data warehouse, or data migration testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and the testing lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with ETL testing, data quality validation, data reconciliation, data migration testing, data profiling, and data analysis.
• Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cross-system integrations.
• Strong SQL skills, including DDL, DML, DQL, joins, aggregations, and subqueries.
• Experience validating large datasets and complex data transformations.
• Ability to independently analyze requirements and define testing approaches.
• Experience with defect management and test documentation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Advanced English.

• Collaborate with business, data, engineering, and product stakeholders to understand requirements, ETL processes, mappings, and transformation rules.
• Plan, design, execute, and maintain tests for ETL, data warehouse, reporting, and data migration areas.
• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, user acceptance, and end-to-end data validation testing.
• Use SQL to verify data quality, completeness, consistency, accuracy, and reconciliation between source, staging, and target systems.
• Identify, document, track, and analyze defects, data anomalies, and root causes.
• Prepare test reports and communicate progress, risks, and quality insights to stakeholders.
• Support test data preparation, data masking, data validation, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
