Senior Drupal Developer

The position is for a project delivered for an organization of the European Commission based in Brussels. The role involves supporting long-term digital preservation, records, archives, and information management systems.

• Minimum educational qualification Level 7 of the European Qualification Framework (Master degree).
• Knowledge of standards and best practices in records, archives, information management, digital preservation, and public access.
• Experience designing and implementing content and records management systems.
• Experience with enterprise-grade multi-user information systems.
• Participation in Enterprise Content Management or digital preservation platform projects.
• Practical experience with ontology design, metadata management, open data technologies, encryption, digital signature, full-text search, and semantic web.
• Good knowledge of agile processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with web services and enterprise integration patterns (asset).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and database management systems (asset).
• Experience configuring, customizing, and operating document management systems such as Drupal or equivalents.
• At least 3 years of specific expertise with the Drupal platform.
• Capability to integrate in multicultural environments and work on multiple large projects.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Good team player with rapid self-starting capability.
• English and French language skills are an advantage.

• Provide expert advice on policy and strategy for content, records, archives, and information management.
• Contribute to design, development, and maintenance of records, archives, and information management systems.
• Identify system requirements and create functional or technical specifications.
• Develop system integration and data migration approaches for legacy repositories.
• Develop and maintain solutions for long-term digital preservation, including encryption, digital signatures, and secure access.
• Define and implement metadata standards for content and records management.
• Implement data publication and exchange solutions using linked open data and semantic web technologies.
• Participate in project interviews as coordinated by the Project Manager/Team Leader.
