Software Development Engineer II

Remitly is a company focused on global financial services that enable customers to send money globally securely, simply, and reliably. The engineering team is located in Kraków, working on AI transformation in the marketing organization. The company has over 2,800 employees worldwide and operates with a hybrid work model.

• At least 5 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language, with strong preference for Go.
• Hands-on experience with data querying, wrangling, and interpretation.
• Real experience and fluency with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), with critical skepticism.
• Independence in executing tasks and good judgment on collaboration.
• Serious passion for security and safety considerations.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity or enthusiasm for Zig or Rust programming languages.

• Own problems end to end from partner communication to production deployment.
• Make autonomous decisions on architecture, tradeoffs, and priorities using data.
• Collaborate directly with business partners to translate requests into products.
• Use AI tooling effectively while critically evaluating its outputs.
• Analyze data to support decision-making.
• Grow into a valued engineer on projects.
