Senior Project / Engineering Manager

The client organization provides operational support and expert services to insurers, brokers, fleet managers, and automotive manufacturers, employing 3,300 people across ten countries and servicing over 1,200 clients globally.

• 6+ years of experience in software delivery including roles as Senior Project Manager, Engineering Manager, or Delivery Lead in complex, multi-team engagements
• Experience within software development, engineering, or outsourcing industry
• Proven track record of end-to-end delivery ownership with strong delivery predictability focus
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to operate strategically and at day-to-day level
• Experience coordinating multiple teams and workstreams with dependencies
• Practical command of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) and project/program management practices
• Solid technical grounding including knowledge of microservice architecture, REST APIs, cloud platforms (Amazon AWS, Azure), and engineering trade-offs
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior client relationships in EU and UK
• Proficiency with delivery and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Excellent English communication skills

• Experience with platform consolidation, migration, or feature-parity initiatives
• Background in enterprise / B2B SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or insurance / InsurTech domain
• Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PSM/CSM, SAFe, or equivalent
• Knowledge of engineering quality practices like clean code, SOLID, TDD, change and release management
• Experience with AI-assisted development and delivery tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor)

• Own delivery across three cross-functional development teams, accountable for scope, timeline, quality, and predictability of milestones
• Plan, sequence, track, and report progress, managing risks and driving corrective actions
• Identify and remove blockers, drive delivery decisions, and maintain team momentum
• Coordinate dependencies, sequencing, and priorities across teams and adjacent workstreams
• Collaborate with Product Managers / Owners and Architects to translate product vision and architectural direction into executable roadmap
• Improve Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban) and guide Scrum Masters for delivery maturity
• Provide transparent status, risk, and forecast reporting to client stakeholders and leadership in the EU and UK
• Establish and track delivery metrics such as predictability, throughput, milestone burn-up, and program-level risk
• Ensure adherence to change management and release management processes
• Balance delivery pace with quality and technical debt, maintaining high engineering standards
• Manage, coach, and grow team members to foster ownership, accountability, and knowledge sharing
• Facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
