Mid Android Engineer

Our client operates in Europe, focusing on the development and delivery of mobile Android apps, maintaining applications used by consumers from several European countries.

• Minimum of 2 years commercial work experience in building Android apps
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, data structures, and algorithms
• Solid hands-on experience in solving architectural problems for mobile apps and backend services
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD processes
• Understanding of OO design patterns, dependency injection, SOLID principles, and Clean Code
• Able to work with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Team player
• Self-motivation, proactive attitude
• Proficiency in English as the daily business language

Nice to have:

• Experience in developing Cloud and Infrastructure solutions with AWS and CI/CD tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, CircleCI, GitlabCI, Datadog
• Working experience with object-oriented and/or functional languages such as Elixir, C++, C#, Golang, Erlang, Python

• Development and delivery of Android apps for B2B or B2C clients
• Design software architecture between mobile apps and connected systems
• Follow and improve concepts of dependency injection and threading inside apps
• Scope and assess the complexity of features
• Continuously improve the quality and performance of mobile apps
• Maintain apps on production used by consumers in several European countries
• Monitor and create prototypes for new technological opportunities (e.g., WearOS)
• Participate in sprint planning, daily sprints, and meetings with product owners for grooming new features
• Collaborate with other team members and dependent teams
