Manager, Software Engineering

Relativity is a legal data intelligence company building an AI-powered cloud platform, RelativityOne, used by law firms, corporations, and government agencies for legal data management. The Matter Administration team develops solutions to improve administrator productivity, configuration, and system preparation for matter review.

Required:

• 4+ years managing software product development teams
• Strong background in software development for commercial systems
• Experience managing remote/distributed teams
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering, distributed systems, and cloud (SaaS)
• Experience with cloud-native tech and architectures (containers, Kubernetes, serverless, microservices, CI/CD)
• Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies to enhance products or workflows
• Strong collaboration skills across teams
• Ability to manage team pace balancing urgency and sustainable delivery
• Motivational leadership with results orientation
• Experience in agile product development
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

• Own project and roadmap execution end-to-end, managing dependencies
• Drive delivery cadence ensuring predictable throughput
• Scope and deliver features/products with progress updates
• Communicate timelines, trade-offs, and status to leadership
• Analyze complex situations and provide direction
• Partner with Product Manager and Designer to align priorities
• Contribute to product roadmap guidance
• Provide regular reporting on wins, goals, and roadblocks
• Build strong cross-functional relationships
• Clarify ownership and decisions across teams
• Empower team to resolve customer issues through completion
• Remove impediments and escalate as needed
• Lead retrospectives and root cause analyses
