Senior Cloud Native Developer

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience, strong expertise in Python as primary development language
• Solid understanding of AWS architecture, including VPCs, networking fundamentals, and multi-account environments
• Knowledge of security and operational best practices within AWS services
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, event-driven application design, and serverless production workloads
• Experience designing and operating systems using EventBridge, SQS, and SNS
• Understanding of asynchronous communication patterns and distributed system design principles
• Experience with AWS CDK, ideally in TypeScript, comfortable with both Python and TypeScript
• Deep operational and architectural expertise in DynamoDB, including single-table design, GSIs, LSIs, Streams, TTL, and PITR
• Strong understanding of ACID vs. BASE trade-offs and consistency challenges in distributed systems
• Experience designing and operating event-driven microservice architectures, including service boundaries and failure handling
• Ability to evaluate design approaches, make architectural decisions, and document trade-offs
• Experience with automated testing strategies including end-to-end testing, and tools like JSON Schema and Pydantic
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Behave
• Background in OpenSearch development and operational experience
• Skills in application profiling and memory optimization
• Experience monitoring and operating high-volume, mission-critical systems
• Expertise in API design and implementation, including GraphQL

• Design, build, and maintain event-driven services running on AWS serverless infrastructure
• Contribute to architectural decisions and document design choices
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across services
• Write and maintain automated end-to-end tests
• Collaborate with other engineers to evolve platform capabilities and engineering standards
• Work independently with minimal supervision to make sound technical decisions and justify trade-offs
• Navigate and contribute to complex distributed systems
• Influence architectural direction, not just implement requirements
