Senior Product Manager (VCS Ecosystem)

• Experience leading product direction and strategy for technically complex developer tools, SCM, CI/CD, or code collaboration software.
• Ability to translate complex developer workflows into clear product roadmaps.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, and developer advocacy.
• Deep understanding of version control mechanics and developer code delivery workflows.
• Based in the EU (ideally Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgrade, or remote within the EU) with ability to travel to JetBrains offices.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with complex version control scenarios like merges, monorepos, and enterprise/self-hosted setups.
• Collaborative mindset for working with engineering and quality teams.
• Strong product judgment in ambiguous areas defining new ecosystems.
• Clear communication skills with technical users and internal stakeholders.
• Data-informed decision-making combining metrics, feedback, and market signals.
• Interest in AI's impact on software development, including AI-assisted reviews.

• Set the long-term product strategy for VCS and code-change workflows across all JetBrains IDEs.
• Identify gaps in current developer workflows and define new product directions in the VCS space.
• Explore new opportunities, including cross-IDE VCS clients, host-neutral code reviews, AI-native review, and authorship tracking.
• Listen to community and industry feedback to guide product focus.
• Align roadmap decisions across product, engineering, design, marketing, developer advocacy, partnership, and customer-facing teams.
• Balance user value, technical constraints, and platform health with engineering and quality leads.
• Represent VCS direction externally with customers and developer tools community.

Based in the EU, ideally Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgrade, or remote within the EU, with ability to travel to JetBrains offices as needed.
