Senior Software Engineer - IOS

EBS Sp. z o.o., a Polish technology company and part of Alarm.com, is rapidly growing in the smart security solutions sector. The Krakow team focuses on developing the mobile iOS application used by millions globally for home and business security management.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Over 5 years of professional iOS development experience
• Deep proficiency in Swift, including idiomatic usage, performance, and concurrency patterns
• Extensive experience with Xcode, iOS SDK, and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, coordinator-driven navigation, modular design)
• Proven record in designing scalable, production-quality iOS applications
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, JSON models, and backend integration
• Solid command of asynchronous programming using Swift Concurrency and task coordination
• Experience with modular app architecture, dependency management, and package-based code organization
• Proficient with version control using Git and collaborative workflows
• Excellent communication skills with cross-team technical influence
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design discussions
• Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies in mobile apps

Nice to have:

• Expertise with video streaming frameworks like AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, WebRTC
• Experience integrating native or binary iOS media frameworks including xcframework SDKs
• Strong skills with SwiftUI for declarative UI development
• Knowledge of iOS platform services and app lifecycle across multiple targets
• Familiarity with mixed Swift and Objective-C codebases
• Understanding mobile security best practices, e.g., Keychain usage, secure storage, authentication
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for iOS apps
• Knowledge of mobile analytics and crash-reporting tools like Crashlytics, Firebase, or Sentry
• Exposure to Apple ecosystems such as iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, widgets, or extensions
• Experience with backend service layers and large-scale production API contracts
• Background with IoT protocols or connected-device ecosystems

• Lead design and development of complex iOS features for the flagship mobile app
• Own full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to release and iteration
• Architect and implement real-time video capabilities using iOS media technologies and streaming protocols like RTSP, WebRTC, and SRTP
• Deliver responsive and maintainable UI experiences using SwiftUI integrated with UIKit
• Define and promote best practices for platform consistency, reliability, and observability
• Drive research and adoption of new iOS technologies to solve project goals and improve code quality
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers via code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming
• Contribute to cross-functional architecture decisions impacting long-term mobile platform direction
• Exercise technical judgment balancing delivery speed with scalable, durable solutions
• Participate in shaping product roadmap with leadership input
