Senior Magento 2 Backend Developer

• Minimum 8 years commercial experience with PHP.
• Minimum 6 years experience as a backend developer with Magento 2.
• Very good knowledge of PHP, Magento, and Symfony 6+.
• Ability to diagnose performance issues and optimize applications.
• Experience with integration of external systems (ERP, PIM, payments).
• Practical knowledge of RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Varnish.
• Experience with Docker and Docker Swarm.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Ability to prepare and maintain development, testing, and production environments.
• Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/Debian).
• Experience configuring web servers (Nginx).
• Experience with application monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, Graylog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Basic knowledge of Ansible.
• Experience with Gitflow and/or GitHub Flow.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated tests in PHPUnit.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in estimating and planning complex development projects.
• Focus on code quality, security, and deployment stability.
• Soft skills: technical independence, architectural decision-making, mentoring juniors, good communication with business and technical teams, proactive problem-solving, responsibility for results and system stability.

Nice to have:

• Certifications in Magento / Adobe Commerce.
• Knowledge of Hyvä.
• Knowledge of Algolia.
• Experience in high-traffic eCommerce environments.
• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Develop and maintain Magento 2 platform and applications based on the Symfony framework.
• Design backend architecture and system integrations.
• Estimate and plan development tasks.
• Maintain applications in production environments.
• Optimize application and infrastructure performance.
• Co-create CI/CD processes.
• Analyze and resolve production issues.
• Support the team in good practices and code quality.
• Participate in technology decisions and technical roadmap.
