Senior Data Engineer

A fintech company that builds point-of-sale financing and consumer credit products for everyday service businesses. Their solution is deployed at thousands of service locations — including auto service centers, dental offices, optical clinics, and veterinary practices — and is managed through a no-fee mobile credit card.

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• 4+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
• 4+ years of experience in data modeling and building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines on Snowflake.
• 3+ years designing and managing automated data pipelines using Apache Airflow (Python).
• 3+ years developing scalable, production-grade data models with DBT.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS) and big data technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in large-scale systems.
• Proven experience packaging applications with Docker and utilizing Argo Workflows for automation.
• Experience with design patterns and coding best practices.
• Proficiency with Git and modern source control.
• Basic Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted coding tools.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Experience with NoSQL or large-scale databases.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Airbyte or other modern ETL platforms.
• Background in Fintech, Banking, or regulatory environments.
• Experience with AI development tools like Cursor and Claude Code.

• Lead the design and implementation of data solutions and ETLs that ensure regulatory compliance and legal process automation (e.g., IVV, Due Diligence).
• Work with large datasets and oversee complex data pipelines, ensuring absolute data integrity across critical financial systems.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, and engineering teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into accurate, high-quality technical solutions.
