EDA Engineer (EDA tools, Semiconductors)

• Solid experience with complete EDA flows: simulation, synthesis, place & route, verification, and DFT.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens EDA (Mentor Graphics) tools.
• Experience in tool validation, qualification, deployment, and support.
• Strong understanding of EDA licensing systems (FlexLM/Flexera).
• Experience with tool version control, release management, and regression testing.
• Expertise in Linux-based compute environments for EDA workloads.
• Experience with NFS and distributed/parallel storage systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Proficient in Python, Perl, Shell, and TCL scripting.
• Strong automation mindset and experience with infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in CAD, EDA, or semiconductor infrastructure.
• Proven track record in EDA tool deployment and flow ownership.
• Strong exposure to semiconductor design and development environments.

• Define, deploy, and maintain EDA flows for digital, mixed-signal, and verification activities (simulation, synthesis, P&R, DFT, signoff).
• Evaluate, benchmark, and qualify new EDA tools, releases, and methodologies before production deployment.
• Design and operate EDA infrastructure environments, including compute farms (Linux-based clusters), storage systems (NFS, distributed storage, backup/DR), and license servers (FlexLM/Flexera).
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for tool installation, configuration, regression and CI/CD pipelines, resource provisioning, and monitoring.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for design and verification workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize tool usage and flows, debug issues, and improve efficiency.
• Maintain strong interaction with EDA vendors (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens).
• Define and enforce best practices and standards for CAD usage and tool flows.
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities into engineering workflows.
• Support security, compliance, and reliability requirements (e.g., ISO 27001 environments).
