Software Engineer

Join Guidewire’s Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization to build the Jutro Digital Platform, the shared UI foundation that powers modern, cloud-based experiences for P&C insurers worldwide. Guidewire is a global team of over 3,500 working on a billion-dollar cloud platform serving insurers. The Jutro team supports 70+ internal Guidewire applications and external insurers that rely on the Jutro libraries to build scalable, accessible web experiences. Jutro provides SDKs, design systems, and tooling bridging insurance logic and human-centric design.

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience with substantial front-end work.
• Solid foundations in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and strong experience with React.
• Ability to independently deliver sprint-level stories: break down work, estimate, implement, test, and own production deployment.
• Experience with design systems or component libraries and consuming designs from Figma.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and TeamCity, including unit and E2E automated testing.
• Basic understanding of web security, authentication, dependency management, and observability.
• Practitioner-level AI literacy focused on AI-driven internal workflow automation.
• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in TypeScript-heavy codebases with types-first design.
• Exposure to micro-frontends or complex multi-app ecosystems.
• Experience integrating with backend APIs using REST and JSON including client-side caching and error handling.
• Hands-on experience with modern React ecosystem tools like Next.js and Vite.

• Build the platform using React 18+ and TypeScript to implement mission-critical features.
• Maintain and enhance the design system and SDKs to ensure robustness, responsiveness, and accessibility (A11Y).
• Engineer secure user journeys implementing OIDC flows and auth-guarded routes.
• Develop AI chat components, data-heavy tables, and performance-optimized dashboards.
• Take full ownership from refinement to production deployment using Datadog, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity.
• Manage platform hygiene including dependency updates via yarn/npm and security triage.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate Figma designs into technical reality.
• Leverage AI to automate repetitive workflows, build internal agents, and summarize complex contexts.
• Design AI-powered automation for CI health monitoring and security findings summaries.
