Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability

Asana is building a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team in Warsaw as part of a major investment in reliability for a rapidly growing product. The Warsaw office is a significant hub for future infrastructure engineering and operations, collaborating globally with teams in San Francisco and Reykjavik.

• Strong and experienced software engineer, comfortable writing and reading code.
• Focus on reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Experience as an SRE or a product engineer involved in infrastructure work.
• Familiarity with systems at scale and infrastructure problem-solving.
• Curious, self-initiated, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Collaborative across teams to build reliable systems.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Interest and curiosity in AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Influence the future of Asana’s SRE practice and grow the Warsaw team.
• Lead reliability-focused projects across infrastructure, tooling, and incident response.
• Define and implement the incident management process.
• Build internal platforms and frameworks to improve service reliability.
• Participate in and help shape a sustainable on-call rotation shared with teams in San Francisco and Reykjavik.
• Work with the stack: AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Datadog, MySQL (RDS), ElasticSearch (OpenSearch), Redis, DynamoDB, Terraform, TypeScript, Scala, Go, and Python.
