Full-Stack Engineer (React + Node.js)

Esurance is a Swiss InsurTech offering a SaaS platform that connects SMEs, insurance providers, brokers, and business application providers. Founded in 2013, the company aims to simplify health insurance for small businesses. The team operates in a hybrid model with offices in Zürich and remote work across Europe, emphasizing trust, openness, and mutual respect.

• MSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React combined with a modern SSR framework (e.g., React Router v7, Remix, Next.js) for frontend development.
• Expertise in Node.js for backend development.
• Strong testing skills using Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook for component-driven tests.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, and Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience working in Agile and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) environments in cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German, Polish, and Ukrainian is a plus.

• Collaborate in refinement sessions with product and tech teams to ensure feature clarity and feasibility.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable web APIs using Node.js and microservices architecture principles.
• Develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Work closely with Product Owners to clarify feature requirements and ensure business context is well-understood.
• Align feature architecture with Tech Leads to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Ensure features meet the Definition of Done with robust test coverage (unit, integration, E2E).
• Support incident response and production issue resolution.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to knowledge sharing in technical best practices.

This role requires candidates to be located in Poland due to the nature of the contract and team collaboration. The employment contract is Umowa o Pracę (permanent employee) under Polish law.
