Data Engineering Manager

Client is seeking a Data Engineering Manager / Senior Manager to lead a team of data engineers and architects in building secure, scalable data solutions within a complex data ecosystem, operating in a mature Agile environment.

• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams in Data Engineering or Data Platform domains.
• Hands-on experience as a former Data Engineer or Data Architect, with strong mastery of SQL, Python, Spark, Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and CI/CD / DevOps practices.
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional, multinational teams.
• Fluency in Polish (both written and spoken) is required.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and readiness to work in a hybrid setup in Warsaw (Gdański Business Center).

• Mentor, coach, and grow a team of Data Engineers and Architects across distributed project pods. Drive performance management, professional growth, and team retention.
• Provide conceptual and strategic direction for data platforms including SQL, Python, Spark, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD, ensuring high-quality and resilient delivery.
• Build direct, trusted relationships with UK business stakeholders, aligning team development with technical roadmaps and business strategy.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, adoption of modern data engineering best practices, and continuous learning.
• Actively participate in problem solving.
