Freelance Mobile App Developer (iOS / Android)

Mindrift is a platform that connects specialists with AI projects from major tech innovators, aiming to unlock the potential of Generative AI by tapping into real-world expertise globally. The role is for the Tendem project, focused on building native and cross-platform mobile applications within a hybrid AI and human environment.

• At least 3 years of experience in mobile app development.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields is a plus.
• Strong foundation in mobile application development, platform-specific UI/UX patterns for iOS and Android.
• Hands-on experience with React Native, Flutter, Swift/SwiftUI (iOS), or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android).
• Solid understanding of mobile UI patterns, navigation, state management, and platform guidelines.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, handling asynchronous data, and managing local storage.
• Familiarity with native device APIs such as notifications, camera, location, storage, and biometrics.
• Experience with mobile build tools, code signing, and submitting apps to App Store and Google Play.
• Experience with implementing in-app purchases, ads, or subscriptions is a plus.
• Familiarity with backend services like Firebase or Supabase is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, performance awareness, and ability to work independently.
• Portfolio of shipped mobile apps with preferred links to App Store or Google Play.
• English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or above.

• Build mobile applications using React Native, Flutter, Swift (iOS), or Kotlin (Android).
• Implement responsive mobile UIs following platform conventions (iOS HIG, Material Design).
• Integrate native device features such as camera, push notifications, location, storage, and biometrics.
• Connect apps to backend APIs, handle offline state, caching, and synchronization.
• Implement monetization features like in-app purchases, ads, and subscriptions where required.
• Evaluate AI-generated mobile code and refactor it for correctness, performance, battery use, and maintainability.
• Debug platform-specific issues and prepare builds for distribution through TestFlight and Play Console.
