Senior Java Developer

Avenga is recruiting Java Engineers to work in core cross-functional mission teams focused on building core-banking technology.

• Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Micronaut
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker
• Excellent understanding of AWS deployment and configuration
• Experience with message-driven architectures, Kafka, and event sourcing
• Experience delivering within an agile environment
• Experience working in a highly secure application environment
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to translate business objectives into data-driven insights
• Availability for two visits per month at the Warsaw office

• Deliver as a member of our mission team to build and develop the technology product
• Support and oversee junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert
• Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well-tested and easy to maintain and extend
• Work with stakeholders across the business to drive the direction of engineering and prioritize customer interests
• Collaborate across the backend chapter to uphold standards, best practices, and promote innovation
• Work collaboratively with the team to resolve technical issues

Candidates must be available for two visits per month to the Warsaw office.
