Senior Infrastructure Engineer (PHP, Symfony) with French

Sopra Steria is a major European tech company specializing in consulting, digital services, and software development with a Polish Global Delivery Center in Katowice employing around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department focuses on cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department handles software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP platform integrations, and application management for clients in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• Senior-level experience in application development and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP, Symfony, and MariaDB.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting APIs and system integrations.
• Experience in backend and frontend development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Experience with application containerization technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain technical and operational documentation.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively.
• Very good command of French and English (minimum B2) for daily communication.
• Willingness to make occasional business trips abroad and regular visits to the Katowice office.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and services using PHP, Symfony, and MariaDB.
• Design, implement, and support APIs and system integrations between business applications and IT platforms.
• Build and optimize backend and frontend components to meet business and technical requirements.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Develop and execute unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests to ensure application quality and stability.
• Support the containerization of applications and related deployment processes.
