Senior IT Operations Specialist

JYSK is hiring a Senior IT Operations Specialist to manage client on-premises infrastructure and automation across a large-scale retail environment with 14,000 Windows devices, 7,000 printers, 3,500 Proxmox VE servers, and millions of electronic shelf labels (ESL).

• Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure, systems, DevOps, or similar roles.
• Experience with large-scale client environments.
• Strong administration skills for Windows and Linux systems.
• Scripting ability with PowerShell, bash, or similar.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM/SCCM/MECM).
• Experience with Proxmox virtualization.
• Experience with Semaphore/Ansible in production.
• Good understanding of networking basics (IP, routing, firewalls, VLANs).
• Experience with monitoring tools; knowledge of Nagios is a plus.

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Infrastruktura on-premises (główny obszar pracy):

• Maintain, operate, and develop on-premises infrastructure ensuring stability, performance, and high availability.
• Administer Windows and Linux systems, including patching and security.
• Manage virtualization environments based on Proxmox.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes.

DevOps i automatyzacja:

• Automate and standardize operational tasks primarily using PowerShell scripts.
• Collaborate with IT teams to improve processes for deployment, reliability, and troubleshooting.

Niezawodność i operacje:

• Use monitoring solutions such as Nagios and Grafana to ensure availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot at scale, analyze root causes, perform corrective actions, and prepare documentation.

Współpraca i dokumentacja:

• Create and maintain clear operational documentation (runbooks, guides, instructions).
• Support onboarding and promote good operational and infrastructure practices.

Cloud:

• Work in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud) ensuring integration, security, and operational consistency.
• Support for workloads involving Docker and Kubernetes is welcome.
