Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability

This role is part of building a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team based in Warsaw, which is a significant hub for Asana's future infrastructure engineering and operations.

• Strong and experienced software engineer focused on writing and reading code.
• Passionate about reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Experience as an SRE or product engineer with exposure to infrastructure.
• Familiarity with systems at scale and infrastructure problem-solving.
• Curious, proactive, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
• Collaborative team player supporting reliable system development.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the specific tech stack.
• Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and collaboration.

• Influence the future of Asana’s SRE practice including growing the Warsaw team.
• Lead reliability-focused projects across infrastructure, tooling, and incident response.
• Define and implement Asana’s incident management processes.
• Build internal platforms and frameworks to improve service reliability.
• Participate in and shape on-call rotations shared across teams in Warsaw, San Francisco, and Reykjavik.
• Work with a stack including AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Datadog, MySQL (RDS), ElasticSearch (OpenSearch), Redis, DynamoDB, Terraform, TypeScript, Scala, Go, and Python.
