Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Software-Focused)

• Strong software engineering background comfortable with production code and system design using Go, Python, Scala, and TypeScript.
• 7+ years experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
• Familiar with distributed systems and storage technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and search.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., RDS, EKS, IAM), Terraform, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Solid understanding of SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident response).
• Clear communication and collaboration skills across stakeholders.
• Curious about AI tools and emerging technologies with a willingness to learn and apply them.

• Design and build frameworks, tools, and services to improve the reliability, observability, and scalability of Asana’s infrastructure.
• Lead end-to-end projects from scoping and design through rollout across multiple systems and teams.
• Improve operability of stateful infrastructure like MySQL, OpenSearch, and DynamoDB.
• Debug production issues across the stack, participating in on-call rotations.
• Partner with product teams to shape a service-oriented architecture for fast, reliable development.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.

The role requires working in the Warsaw office on a hybrid schedule with standard in-office days Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, optional work from home on Wednesdays, and conditional home office on Fridays.
