Mid AI Engineer (k/m)

Nest Bank S.A. is one of the leaders in practical AI implementations in the banking sector, operating AI in real business processes including the first Polish banking AI agent, N!Asystent, which leads trends in conversational banking. The AI and Data Engineering Department builds a modern ecosystem of AI services based on ML and generative AI models, using technologies such as Python, Azure (including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search), AWS, and Databricks.

• Commercial experience as a Python Developer or AI Engineer
• Practical experience working with public clouds Azure and/or AWS
• Strong knowledge of Python and software engineering best practices
• Experience building and integrating APIs
• Practical experience with LLM models and solutions based on RAG, including response quality evaluation
• Familiarity with machine learning or NLP libraries and frameworks
• Practical data handling experience including data preparation and knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and patterns and experience with containerization and deployment automation
• Commitment to technical and substantive development in AI and impacting how clients and employees use AI solutions in banking

Nice to have:

• Experience defining and maintaining cloud infrastructure with Terraform
• Experience with speech recognition (speech-to-text) and speech synthesis (text-to-speech) models

• Design and implement microservices and services utilizing machine learning and generative AI models
• Integrate AI solutions with banking systems and customer contact channels
• Build and develop backend services and APIs supporting AI usage by bank employees
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in MLOps within public cloud environments
• Collaborate with Data Science and Data Analytics units on data preparation, experiments, model quality evaluation, and production deployments
• Optimize performance, quality, and cost of AI models and services
• Design solutions considering security, regulatory compliance, and monitoring requirements
• Document solutions and share knowledge and best practices within the team
• Design and develop conversational solutions in the voice channel using speech-to-text and text-to-speech models
