Senior Staff Engineer

• 9+ years of experience designing, building, and operating complex production systems.
• Deep experience in modern backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Django, Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Go, Java, and Node.js.
• Expertise with cloud platforms like AWS, containerization, and serverless/cloud-native architectures.
• Proven success applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Experience architecting and building event-driven systems using distributed messaging tools such as Kafka and SQS.
• Experience defining and improving CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab) and automated testing strategies (e.g., e2e, canary, integration tests).
• Expertise in scalable API design and management, including RESTful APIs; GraphQL is a plus.
• Strong background in system observability (logs, metrics, tracing) and performance diagnostics.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Passion for using AI technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and innovation.
• Curiosity and drive to stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies and applications.
• Ownership mentality balancing urgency and long-term system health.

• Drive the long-term technical vision and architecture of scalable systems.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with dev teams, engineering leaders, and architects to design and deliver performant, scalable, and reliable architecture.
• Define subsystem boundaries and recommend functionality placement.
• Develop and enforce code quality standards organization-wide.
• Identify and drive architectural enhancements and strategic refactors to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Design and implement automated tests at effective architectural layers.
• Conduct code and architectural reviews to ensure alignment with design principles and engineering excellence.
• Maintain and improve continuous integration and development environments.
• Serve as a mentor for engineers across the organization.
