Senior DLP Engineer- Data Protection Solution Owner

Bayer Sp. z o.o., located in Warsaw, is seeking a Senior DLP Engineer to join their Cyber Data Defense Squad in the Digital Hub Warsaw. The role involves designing, building, and operationalizing enterprise data protection controls across Microsoft Purview and Netskope platforms within a highly regulated, multinational environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of hands-on experience in DLP, data protection, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex technical deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) with experience in APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of data classification concepts, structured/unstructured data, and enterprise data flows.
• Understanding of data protection regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Purview, Netskope, Forcepoint, or Orca.
• Experience owning a security tool/solution including backlog management and vendor coordination.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with DSPM, insider risk, and SIEM/SOAR integrations (Sentinel, Defender, Exabeam).
• Experience working in cross-functional, global, and highly regulated environments.

DLP Engineering & Operations:

• Design, build, tune, and maintain DLP policies across Microsoft Purview and Netskope.
• Test and validate policies in pre-production and production environments.
• Automate policy deployment, rule tuning, and integrate DLP telemetry with SIEM/SOAR (e.g., Sentinel/Defender).
• Own solution backlog and ensure alignment with quarterly goals.
• Manage ServiceNow support queue, Service Desk relationships, and represent DLP Operations during incidents.
• Manage vendor accounts and technical relationships including license/contract renewals.
• Validate consistency and governance for policies across tools.
• Provide onboarding support to Policy Engineers where necessary.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Partner with Networking/SASE team, Data Protection Squad, Data Privacy, and Works Council stakeholders.
• Develop metrics and dashboards for policy effectiveness and drive tuning feedback loops.
• Create and maintain technical and change documentation and translate business requirements into technical enforcement.
