Security Monitoring Platform Developer (Azure Developer)

For Digital Hub Warsaw, Bayer is seeking a Security Monitoring Platform Developer (Azure Developer) to work within the CDC Cyber Security Monitoring (CSM) squad. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining custom security automation applications and Azure-native application pipelines integrated with Microsoft Sentinel and Azure Data Explorer. The position is located in Warszawa with a hybrid work schedule.

• Strong hands-on development experience in Python, including Azure Functions and async processing
• Experience with Azure PaaS services: Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault, Event Hub, and Application Insights
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and data serialization formats like STIX and MISP
• Experience with SQL databases and data pipeline patterns, especially Azure SQL and Azure Data Explorer (ADX)
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows, IaaC using Terraform, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions
• Experience or understanding in IT Security, SIEM, security incident lifecycle, detection engineering, and threat intelligence
• Understanding of IT enterprise systems and business data flows
• Collaboration skills for global teams
• University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or Cyber Security
• Excellent oral and written English; German is a plus

• Develop and maintain the CheckMail automation pipeline using Python-based Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus integration, and Sentinel incident creation
• Implement the MISP2Sentinel threat intelligence connector using Python, PyMISP, and MISP-STIX libraries
• Develop Azure Function Apps for SQL-based data replication between Azure SQL Database, ADX, and Sentinel
• Design and implement complex security incident handling logic in Microsoft Sentinel including enrichment workflows and Logic App orchestration
• Integrate external security APIs and services into the SIEM platform with error handling and queue management
• Follow and contribute to IaaC deployment processes using GitHub Actions and Terraform
• Ensure application reliability and observability via structured logging, health monitoring, and Application Insights
• Support content handover, documentation, naming conventions, and RBAC integration
• Collaborate with CSM analysts to translate detection and automation requirements into scalable application code
