Data & AI Solution Architect (Databricks)

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is hiring for a Solution Architect within the Data & AI Core Data Lakehouse (CDL) Platform team based in Warsaw, Poland.

• Hands-on experience with the Databricks ecosystem, including proficiency in Unity Catalog.
• Experience designing metadata-driven architectures and understanding of Active Metadata concepts such as using metadata to trigger workflows, security policies, or automated quality checks.
• Previous experience as a Solution Architect or Data Engineer in an enterprise Data Lake/Lakehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Experience with API-based integrations for metadata exchange is a plus.
• Ability to influence technology decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes.

• Architect the Metadata Strategy by defining and leading the evolution of the Active Metadata framework within the Data Lakehouse platform.
• Enhance Data Discoverability by designing and implementing patterns that make data easily searchable and understandable using tools like Databricks Genie and AI-driven documentation.
• Standardize Data Governance including Unity Catalog implementation, tagging, lineage tracking, and row/column level security at a global scale.
• Architect metadata integration with external catalogs, BI tools, and downstream AI applications to create a unified data fabric.
• Evaluate and implement emerging Databricks features (Serverless, System Tables, Lakehouse Monitoring) to automate metadata collection and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership as a subject matter expert and mentor engineering teams with architectural oversight and hands-on guidance on complex implementations.
