Senior/Expert Data Modeller

IT Talento is part of the HICRON Group — an organization supporting companies in technology projects, digital transformations, and development of SAP systems and IT solutions. They collaborate with around 1000 experts working on projects in Poland and abroad, involving SAP implementations, migrations to SAP S/4HANA, dedicated application development, integration projects, IT environment modernizations, and business process automation and transformation. Their clients include companies from production and automotive, energy, chemistry, and FMCG sectors, providing experience in diverse technological and business environments.

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in creating and optimizing SQL queries in the Google BigQuery environment.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Data Fusion, Airflow, or similar.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts, including Data Vault, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
• Experience working with version control systems, specifically Git, and familiarity with DataOps best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Analytical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP Data Fusion or the CDAP platform.
• Strong knowledge of the Data Vault methodology.
• Experience integrating and processing data from diverse sources such as APIs, SFTP, CSV, JSON, or XML files.
• Familiarity with Data Governance topics and managing Data Contracts.
• Experience programming in Java.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and test automation for cloud-based data engineering solutions.

• Designing and developing data transformation processes using SQL and the BigQuery environment.
• Optimizing queries and data processing for performance, costs, and resource efficiency.
• Creating, testing, and maintaining ETL/ELT processes with tools like Data Fusion or similar.
• Developing and enhancing data models supporting reporting and business analysis.
• Collaborating closely with Agile project teams on data-driven solutions.
• Managing source code and version control using Git.
• Ensuring high data quality, consistency, and adherence to DataOps best practices.
• Actively participating in analyzing technical problems, proposing improvements, and developing existing solutions.
