Senior Analytics Engineer

The Data Science & Analytics team focuses on turning data into actionable insights that inform critical product and business decisions. This role supports data foundations for a specific business domain, enabling trustworthy AI-powered self-serve analytics.

• At least 4 years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related roles.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong data modeling fundamentals including dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and semantic layer design.
• Hands-on experience with transformation frameworks like dbt, orchestration tools such as Airflow, version control (Git), and modern warehouse/lakehouse platforms (preferably Databricks).
• Experience with data quality testing, observability, schema management, data contracts, and query/model performance tuning.
• Demonstrated domain expertise in areas like PLG funnels, marketing attribution, or revenue with the ability to fix data trust issues.
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills including requirements gathering, documentation, and technical explanation to non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in AI-native analytics such as NL2SQL and semantic layers. Exposure to Unity Catalog, Looker/LookML, or reverse-ETL tools (Salesforce, Marketo, Gainsight) is a plus.

• Own the Gold data layer and design dimensional data models for downstream use.
• Implement and maintain governed, versioned metric marts for core KPIs.
• Build and curate semantic layers and Genie spaces for self-serve analytics.
• Manage the metric dictionary for the domain, ensuring consistency and ownership.
• Define data contracts and SLAs at the Silver to Gold data boundary.
• Build certified, board-ready dashboards in collaboration with Data Science.
• Partner with Product, Business, Data Science, and Engineering to translate questions into scalable datasets and raise data model quality.
