Database Administrator with French

Sopra Steria is a large European technology company specializing in consulting, digital services, and software development. Its Polish branch in Katowice operates as a Global Delivery Center since 2007 with about 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department focuses on cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security, supporting clients including French-speaking users.

• Strong experience with Oracle Databases versions 9, 10, 11, 12, and 19.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata (X6, X7, X8, X9).
• Proficient with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Experience administering CASSANDRA 3.11 cluster and MySQL databases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to act quickly and effectively during critical incidents.
• Availability to participate in on-call rotation.
• French language proficiency at B2 level or above.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to document processes and share knowledge.
• Willingness to work onsite in Katowice office at least 3 days per week.

• Administer, maintain, and monitor Oracle, Cassandra, and MySQL database environments to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.
• Manage and support Oracle Exadata platforms and database infrastructure, including monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Troubleshoot complex database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to critical incidents, ensuring rapid diagnosis, resolution, and service restoration.
• Perform database maintenance activities, including performance tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications and participate in on-call support when required.
