SAP FI Product Owner (I2P; Invoice Management)

The IT&DATA Supporting Functions at Danone, a global FMCG leader, is establishing an IT & Data Hub in Warsaw to support the company's vision of making data & technology strategic differentiators by 2025. The role is part of the Invoice to Pay team organized in 3 squads, focused on 3rd party vendor invoice management within a global, matrixed finance environment.

• 8+ years in IT or product delivery roles within complex global organizations
• 3–5 years as Product Owner or Product Manager driving product vision and leading cross-functional teams
• 5+ years hands-on experience with SAP ERP FICO, exposure to SAP S/4HANA or other ERP, focusing on SAP FI-MM integration, FI-AP, FI-APP
• Experience in SAP implementation, core model governance, or deployment support
• Strong understanding of Invoice-to-Pay process, especially 3rd party vendor invoice management
• Ability to collaborate with SAP technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners
• Experience in digital transformation towards product-centric models
• Strong stakeholder management in a global, matrixed environment involving vendors such as Basware and SAP
• Experience leading hybrid internal/external teams across geographies and time zones
• Skilled in translating technical information into business insights
• Proficiency with tools like Asana, Power BI, MIRO or similar platforms

Bonus Experience:

• Experience with Basware or equivalent SaaS platform integrated with SAP
• Familiarity with playbook frameworks, OKRs, and product governance models
• Experience defining or scaling operating models in transformation contexts
• Background in vendor or contract management (AMS, COE models, support transition)

Product Vision, Strategy & Portfolio Management:

• Own and evolve the product vision for I2P Invoice Management aligned with business and IT objectives
• Maintain and communicate the Product Vision Board
• Manage portfolio prioritization with other Product Owners and stakeholders
• Collaborate with Chapter Leads on resource and skills alignment
• Safeguard the product's CORE model and sustainability

Backlog & Roadmap Oversight:

• Guide roadmap planning and backlog management enabling squad autonomy
• Collaborate with squad Product Owners to align backlogs with priorities
• Define backlog guardrails in coordination with Extension Product Owners
• Translate product objectives into actionable initiatives focusing on value delivery

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:

• Act as primary liaison between business and IT for I2P Invoice Management
• Build relationships with DBS (P2P), Finance Design Authority, e-Invoicing Program, AMS support, and external partners
• Facilitate governance rituals ensuring delivery transparency

Risk Management & Escalation:

• Identify and mitigate risks affecting delivery or alignment
• Handle escalations, unblock issues, and support resolution

Transformational Leadership & Continuous Improvement:

• Model product-centric ways of working
• Ensure adoption of key product management artefacts (Vision, OKRs, Roadmap, Backlog)
• Promote cross-squad alignment, simplification, and scalable practices
• Establish feedback loops for continuous optimization
• Support team maturity in product mindset
• Share best practices and lessons learned

Financials & Budget Management:

• Co-build and optimize I2P cost model
• Monitor and manage budgets across squads and vendors
• Manage vendor contracts, e.g., Basware
• Support forecasting and reports in alignment with SF Performance & Governance & Chapters team
• Partner to improve processes and reduce administrative overhead
