Managing Director, Data & AI - Pharma

Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a fast-growing Swiss AI and data analytics consulting and services company dedicated to solving complex problems of traditional industries like automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing and pharma. We work with some of the biggest organisations in Europe to solve the challenges that directly affect their business - be it operations, finance, manufacturing or R&D. • Significant experience in Data & AI consulting for pharma/life sciences with a track record of closing major client relationships
• Currently at Principal, Associate Partner, Director level, or equivalent with commercial track record and client ownership
• Ability to "speak Tech," understanding data architecture and AI to raise delivery standards
• Established senior client network in DACH pharma
• Fluent in English; German and/or French are nice to have
• Comfortable traveling including on-site engagements in the US (up to 5 weeks)

• Build and convert a pipeline of high-value opportunities in DACH pharma using an established network
• Sell from expertise by understanding pharma regulatory, R&D, and commercial challenges
• Stay embedded in delivery to set pace, challenge assumptions, and focus on business problems
• Bridge communication between data scientists/engineers and pharma executives
• Raise delivery standards by setting expectations for pharma data & AI excellence
• Leverage pharma network to source, shape, and close new engagements
• Translate complex pharma business problems into Data & AI solutions and ensure value realization
• Lead and guide complex transformations across the pharma value chain from problem definition to delivery
• Act as senior point of contact for key pharma clients throughout delivery
• Challenge clients on scope, pace, and ambition when necessary
• Collaborate with engineering and data science teams, providing pharma context, removing blockers, and coaching
