Senior Linux Platform Engineer

At Motorola Solutions, the Dimetra engineering team delivers mission-critical TETRA-based communications systems used by public safety organisations, police, emergency services, and some military projects in over 100 countries. The Linux Platform team provides platform solutions including Linux OS, virtualization techniques, and server configuration, essential for the Dimetra communications systems core.

• Expert-level proficiency in Linux systems development and maintenance with at least 5 years' experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Bash and Python.
• Solid understanding of networking principles, including routing and switching.
• Experience with virtualization management and troubleshooting, preferably with KVM.
• Proven ability to lead innovative solutions and challenge the status quo.
• Strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Security-first mindset ensuring product resilience and enterprise security standards.
• Excellent command of English for technical communication and documentation.
• Availability to work 2 days per week from the Kraków office.

• Design, develop, and test platform solutions based on Linux and virtualization techniques.
• Perform manual integration level testing and test automation.
• Maintain platform hardware.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on enterprise-grade solutions.
• Advocate continuous process improvement.
• Work according to Scrum methodology and Agile best practices.
• Integrate a security-first approach into daily engineering routines.

The position requires availability to work from the office 2 days per week (Thursday & Friday).
