Linux Platform Engineer

Motorola Solutions Systems Polska develops mission-critical TETRA-based communications systems used worldwide by public safety organizations, police, and emergency services, including military sector projects. The Linux Platform team delivers platform solutions involving Linux OS, virtualization techniques, and server configuration that are core to Dimetra communications systems.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Linux systems development or maintenance
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems including KVM virtualization (administration and troubleshooting)
• Good knowledge of Bash
• Good knowledge of Python
• Basic knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, routing, switching
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Enthusiasm for learning and taking on new responsibilities
• Strong team player with open communication skills
• English language skills enabling effective communication

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Scrum methodology
• Experience with GIT and JIRA
• Experience with automation frameworks, Jenkins

• Design, develop, and test platform solutions based on Linux OS and virtualization techniques
• Perform manual integration level testing and test automation
• Maintain platform hardware
• Work using Scrum methodology and Agile best practices
