Senior Manager, ERM Risk Steward HCIB and CIB

Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a sub function of Group Risk and Compliance. Its purpose is to ensure HSBC is equipped with a coherent Risk Management Framework, Risk Taxonomy and tools to operate within its Global Risk Appetite and effectively manage overall risk. ERM strengthens risk culture by driving consistent risk management practices globally and provides oversight and stewardship of processes, risks, and controls to comply with risk, business and regulatory priorities.

• Understanding of Payments and/or Trade business with regulatory landscape and industry trends.
• Hands-on operations experience and broad understanding of technology infrastructure, third party dependencies, and data flows.
• Ability to navigate complex information flows to anticipate emerging risk impacts.
• Understanding of risk management processes including identification, assessment, monitoring, control, and mitigation.
• Ability to influence and promote strong risk control culture.
• Proven ability to develop networks with key stakeholders and support multi-locational teams.
• Provide expert advice and challenge to first line risk management stakeholders.

• Directly support Global Head of ERM Oversight of GPS and GTS in delivering enterprise-wide connected risk view.
• Use tools to conduct cross-risk analysis and aggregation for enterprise insights.
• Provide stakeholder orchestration across Risk and Compliance for enterprise reporting cycles.
• Triage decisions and responsibilities to reduce operational risk exposure.
• Produce and coordinate high-quality executive materials for senior forums.
• Support ERM-wide operational loss forecasting and risk appetite refresh for GPS and GTS.
