Senior Data Scientist

Britenet is a technology company seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, train, and deploy advanced models based on neural networks in production environments on the Google Cloud Platform.

• Extensive practical experience designing, training, and deploying production Neural Networks and Deep Learning models.
• Practical knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, including Vertex AI and Vertex Pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Proficient in SQL, preferably with BigQuery or analytical SQL.
• Knowledge of production engineering standards, including writing production code, containerization with Docker, and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end ML processes from problem analysis through deployment.
• Experience mentoring other Data Scientists.
• English language proficiency at least at B2 level for technical communication.
• Higher technical or scientific education in fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with real-time low latency ML models.
• Knowledge of the AdTech/Marketing industry.
• Experience building CTR, CVR models and using Gradient Boosted Trees algorithms like XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost.
• Experience serving as a Tech Lead.
• Practical use of AI assistants in coding such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.

• Participate in the full ML/DL cycle: deep business problem analysis, feature engineering, experiments, production deployment, and model monitoring.
• Develop and maintain scalable ML pipelines using Google Cloud Platform, specifically Vertex AI and Vertex Pipelines.
• Write clean, efficient production code in Python applying best programming practices and CI/CD.
• Mentor and support less experienced Data Scientists with knowledge sharing and professional guidance.

Location: Warsaw with a hybrid work arrangement (1 day per week in the office). Data controller Britenet Sp. z o.o., data processing for recruitment purposes with legal rights stated.
