Senior MS SQL Database Administrator / Engineer

H2B Group is a consulting company that helps clients automate business processes using AI and supports IT specialists in their B2B career development. They offer projects in industries such as fintech, medtech, edutech, and industrial automation.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in administration, maintenance, and optimization of MS SQL Server, including legacy 2012 and newer versions 2019/2022.
• Proven practical experience in migration projects, specifically Database Upgrade / Replatforming.
• Strong infrastructure background with very good knowledge of Windows Server and troubleshooting on OS and network levels.
• Experience working with Apache Tomcat (v7 or newer) and Java application servers related to database connections.
• Ability to diagnose failures (connections, permissions, performance) independently without ready documentation.
• Polish and English language skills sufficient for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dynamics AX / NAV database architecture (key asset for long-term cooperation).
• Familiarity with Coda v12 application environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (Azure VM, Azure SQL Managed Instance).
• Knowledge of automation and monitoring tools such as PowerShell, Redgate.

• Plan and execute the migration and replatforming of MS SQL Server from version 2012 to 2022, considering Compatibility Level and performance verification.
• Build a clean and stable Test/UAT environment from scratch.
• Optimize queries, stored procedures, indexes, and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze and resolve issues at the database–application server (Apache Tomcat v7 / Java) – Windows Server interface, including service account configuration, permissions, SSL/TLS certificates, and network/firewall rules.
• Verify and maintain integration with SSRS reporting area.
